Qualities: Attractive to pollinators
Notes: Herbaceous perennial wildflower considered threatened in NC. Generally found in mesic (moderately moist) forests in Western NC in the wild. Attractive to pollinators especially Ruby-throated hummingbirds ( Archilochus colubris) who are the primary pollinators of this flower. Best used in perennial gardens.
