Notes: Perennial wildflower commonly found in sandy swamps or moist prairies in the wild. Contrary to popular belief, it is not Solidago that causes hay fever it is Ragweed ( Ambrosia sp). Like other Solidago (Goldenrod) species, it supports several specialized native bees. It is a host plant to Wavy-lined Emerald moth larvae (Synchlora aerata). Songbirds eat its seed. Best planted in naturalized meadows, riparian areas, or pollinator gardens.
