Notes: Herbaceous perennial wildflower commonly found on roadsides, meadows, or fields in the wild. Flowers are attractive to pollinators especially butterflies and American Goldfinches ( Spinus tristis) eat the seeds. Reseeds well in loose sandy soil. Best planted in naturalized areas such as a meadow or field. Good lawn alternative as it is low-growing and tolerates mowing.
