Notes: Herbaceous perennial wildflower commonly found in prairies and meadows in the wild. Flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators and it is a host plant for the Wavy-lined Emerald moth (Synchlora aerata). Birds and small mammals will eat the seeds in the winter. Best used along a border, in a pollinator garden, or in a naturalized meadow.
