Notes: Herbaceous perennial wildflower found in a few scattered locations in the SE USA. In NC, it is listed as state-endangered, and its current living population is only in Moore County. It is primarily threatened by fire suppression and land development in the wild. It is typically found in moist acidic sites such as seeps, bogs, or moist woodlands. It is attractive to pollinators and best used in rock gardens, woodland edges, or riparian areas.
