Notes: A cultivar of Ilex glabra, the evergreen 'Red Tip' is distinguished by its red-tipped leaves. It is attractive to pollinators and its berries are a food resource for birds and small mammals. Like most Ilex species it is dioecious meaning you need a male and a female shrub to get berries. Best used in garden borders or in mass plantings as a privacy screening or hedgerow.
