Notes: Herbaceous perennial wildflower found in wetlands and moist ditches in the coastal plains of the southeast. Flowers are very attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. It supports the specialized native bee Ptilothrix bombiformis. Best planted alongside ponds or streams or in a rain garden.
