Notes: Perennial wildflower commonly found in wetlands, ditches, and meadows. A significant resource for pollinators and wildlife, it provides nectar to many species of native bees and is a host plant for the Silvery Checkerspot (Chlosyne nycteis). Many songbirds eat this plant's seeds. Best planted in meadows and rain gardens.
