Notes: Tall perennial wildflower commonly found in moist woodlands, wetlands, and ditches in the southeast. Flowers are attractive to various pollinators and it supports Pearl Crescent larvae ( Phyciodes tharos). Songbirds eat the seeds. Best planted in naturalized meadow or near ponds or bodies of water-a must have in any butterfly garden!
