Notes: Herbaceous perennial wildflower commonly found in open woodlands and along roadsides. A favorite amongst pollinators, it is also a host plant to the Silvery Checkerspot ( Chlosyne nycteis) and the Wavy-lined Emerald ( Synchlora aerata). A good source of seeds for American Goldfinches and other songbirds.
