Notes: Chelone lyonii is a herbaceous perennial wildflower commonly found in wetland margins, wooded coves, or open woods, primarily in southern Appalachia and is beloved by bumblebees, ruby-throated hummingbirds, and butterflies. The 'Hot Lips' cultivar was first introduced by North Creek Nurseries in Pennsylvania. It is known for its rich pink flowers and bronze green-dark green foliage. Best used in perennial border or rain garden.
