Native Range: Canada south to NC and west to MT
Qualities: Attractive to pollinators, Host plant, Deer resistant
Notes: Herbaceous perennial commonly found in open woodlands, fields, or roadsides. It is a host plant for the American Painted Lady butterfly (Vanessa virginiensis) and it is resistant to deer and rabbits. Best planted in a rock garden.
