Notes: Deciduous shrub commonly found in wetlands and moist sandy woods. High quality nectar is enjoyed by many pollinators and fruits are eaten by birds and small mammals. Best used as a border shrub or as a privacy screen in moist shady areas. Can also be used for erosion control on pond shores.
